Nolan Schanuel made sure of it, sending one over the fence for a homer and driving in 2 of the Angels' 4 runs. One swing did what four hits couldn't undo.
Tyler Phillips gave Miami a solid four innings — 1 earned run, 4 strikeouts — but walked away with the loss anyway. George Klassen matched him nearly pitch for pitch on the other side, and Los Angeles did just enough ugly work to steal a 4-3 win in a city that did not need this today.
